Game Day BBQ Pretzel Cheese Ball
There's a pretty big game coming up... if you haven't already planned your party foods, we've got a winner for you! Pairing Kansas City's love of barbecue with cheese and pretzels, this football shaped cheese ball is sure to be a big hit at your Chief's party on February 2nd!
Game Day BBQ Pretzel Cheese Ball
Ingredients
2 blocks cream cheese, softened
4 teaspoons BBQ seasoning / dry rub
1 1/2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
1 1/2 cups white cheddar cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons green onions, divided
1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
1 slice white cheddar or string cheese
Instructions
Using a mixer on medium speed, beat the cream cheese until creamy. Add in the BBQ seasoning, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, and half the green onions. Mix until well combined.
Place mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap and press into the shape of a football. If the mixture is too soft, place in the refrigerator to chill first before shaping. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
Remove from the refrigerator and place onto serving plate. Cover with crushed pretzels, pressing gently to help the pieces stick. It's okay if some fall off as you're coating the ball; simply brush them away when done. Cut cheese into laces and place on top of cheese ball.
That's all there is to it! Now let's get that "W"!
